Chrissy-Jo's All Natural Violet & Blue Chamomile Eye Cream

I randomly stumbled upon this on Ebay 5 or 6 months ago. What really caught my attention were the ingredients, (my eyes easily get irritated by eye creams and to top it off my skin is dry) they are simple, gentle, and all natural with no added fragrance (does have a very light sweet herbal scent, almost like honey that fades after application. I really like it). The title says it's a cream, but it's actually more like a balm. It's spreads very easily with no need to tug on the delicate eye area and a tiny amount goes a very long way. I love this so much I just got my 2nd jar. I apply it at night before bed (I use sunscreen under my eyes during the day. I use Mychelle which is gentle around eyes) and I find that my eyes are a lot less puffy in the morning. My skin texture has improved, it's a lot smoother. All without causing milia. I also appreciate that it's made by hand by a small company. Highly recommended!

Here's the listing description:

This is a smooth gel like cream very soothing and works wonders on tired puffy eyes, helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and to regenerate and brighten the delicate skin around your eyes. This listing is for 1 filled to the brim 1/4oz container. A little of this cream goes a long way! I keep 1 listing going but more available just contact me if you want more.

Hourglass Femme Rouge Velvet Crème Lipstick- Icon

Icon on left/ CHANEL Dragon on right.

Icon is quite a unique and standout shade in my endless sea of reds. Sephora's site describes it as a "Dark Cherry", which I do agree with as it is in the cherry family, and it is a little darker than your traditional cherry, but it isn't as dark as perhaps a wine or merlot shade. It's very red, quite bloody actually. Looks darker in the tube than when applied.
Product is rich, pigmented, and glides on like a luxurious lip balm and feels like a treatment on my lips. Those of you who really enjoy emollient and creamy lipsticks would really appreciate Hourglass lipsticks, me thinks. Has a light vanilla scent, which I just adore.
This is one of those shades that are so bold on their own that it's best to keep the rest of the face simple. Either I'll wear it with bare eyes or with winged liner.
I find myself reaching for this often, in fact, it's my lipstick of the week.

Japanese Haul

Leave-in treatment.

I got a shampoo, conditioner, a leave-in hair treatment that has the consistency of a balm, masks, and a pig soap dispenser (this one's for my niece but I had to share cause it's so cute). There is honestly nothing like Japanese hair care. Everything I have tried has been far better than any expensive or luxurious US hair care product. Granted, their stuff is expensive but because the quality is so high. These masks are my favorite for my dry skin; 20 minutes and my skin is left dewy, plump, and glowing.
Purchased these items at a local Japanese store.

Yves Saint Laurent Eyeliner Effect Faux Cils Long-Wear Cream Eyeliner- Sea Black

Sea Black ($25) is and absolutely stunning midnight blue. It looks like it's going to be very blue in the pan and better suited for a teenager but it's far from it. It's actually quite grow up and subtle on the eyes without being too obvious. If I bought it, it says something. I like to wear it plain all by itself.
Also found that this wears a lot better than Deep Black.

Yves Saint Laurent Eyeliner Effect Faux Cils Long-Wear Cream Eyeliner- Deep Black

I was very excited to see Yves Saint Laurent come out with a liner. Though I do prefer gel I really liked the pigmentation when I swatched it in-store so added it to my Christmas wishlist. Deep Black ($25 for 0.098 oz) that is supposed to be waterproof, smudge-proof, and last up to 24 hours. Well as bold and pigmented as this is, it's not that long-wearing. It is long-wearing but definitely not for 24 hours as they claim; maybe half that. It doesn't dry as fast as Blacktrack nor does it dry to the matte finish that Blacktrack does; takes a little longer to set. This is an issue I run into with most cream liners (which is why I don't usually go for them in the first place; I'm looking at you BB). Deep Black dries with a sheen to it and once it sets after a minute it does last, so long as I don't touch my eyes. I can appreciate it's creamier consistency because it makes it easier to work with and spreads a lot easier than my HG Blackrack. Overall, it is very pigmented and I really like it a lot.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

Hi everyone! This palette is pure love, totally more me than the first as it is more cool-toned. If you're a neutral lover like I am this is a must. In all honesty though, I could have done without Half Baked as It's already in the 1st Naked and in another Urban Decay palette I have. Other than that it's a gorgeous palette that I will put to good use. All the shadows are pigmented with the exception of Foxy which is sheer. So glad they put Foxy in this version, I really wanted a sheer light nude in the 1st palette (Naked was too dark to use as a highlighter). I've heard mixed feelings about the brush but I found it very useful; great crease brush on one side and the other is perfect for lining.
Naked gloss is pretty and smells good but is totally not me so I gave it to my sister.

NARS Orgasm Blush

Happy belated Holidays every one! Sorry for the lack of posts, was visiting in laws in the NE and they have dial-up so I was unable to update. Orgasm was one of my presents from H (I picked it of course, lol). It's a sheer peachy-pink with loads of gold sheen. Normally I'm not drawn towards pink blushes, but because of my skin tone it looks more like a highlighter and less like a blush. I don't mind that part because I chose this mainly for the gold sheen. However, if you want this to work as a blush and your have the same/similar skin tone to mine I don't believe this will work for you.
