NARS Ashes to Ashes

With flash
Hi everyone! Ashes to Ashes ($23 for 0.07 oz) is a medium purplish taupe with noticeable champagne shimmer. Also has a tiny amount of green shimmer that's only noticeable when you inspect it like Inspector Gadget. Well, I'm not saying that I put a magnifying glass up to it, but with my big ass eyes and good lighting I was able to see it. This is a beautiful shadow with the great pigmentation and wonderful texture I'd expect from NARS. This went into my shopping basket faster than I could say "I've fallen and I can't get up."

No flash

Outside in the shade

Direct sunlight. You can really see the champagne shimmer here.
If you're a taupe addict like me this is a must have. Thanks for reading!

Love,

Sonia

  11. This color is so pretty and I love taupe colors in general, I just have a hard time with NARS. I always get so overwhelmed at the NARS counter. I start swatching the colors and then forget which color is which. I only own 3 NARS shadows because of this reason.

This is a beautiful shade, do you use it as a primary blush or as a highlighter?

That color is really pretty and reminds me of Chanel's Fauve. I think I would really like this color thanks for reviewing it. P.s. I'm following you twice because GFC was acting weird. Sorry, I'm your 100 follower - woohoo!

  26. This looks so different under various lights...a taupe after my own heart! I would buy a whole outfit JUST for this shadow. Is it my eyes or is there a lavender here? Maybe it's my screen.
