Foods For Radiant Skin

Ever since I became vegan not only did I lose a lot of weight, I gained the best skin of my life. It's radiant and exfoliates constantly from the inside out. What your put on your skin is nowhere nearly as important as what you put into your body. Since eating all these foods my skincare routine is down to just 3 simple products: Grape seed oil for makeup removal, Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash (the best at removing the oil and mascara), and calamine lotion.
Here are some of the foods I noticed have made the biggest difference:

The holy grail of foods. Well, at least to my people, lol. Avocado is one of my favorite things to have for breakfast. It moisturizes my dry skin from within and is filling. If you're like me and you're not normally hungry in the mornings but know you need to eat something this is perfect.
Fresh & Easy Market I found has the best prices for this often expensive fruit (yes, it's a fruit!).

Instead of snacking on cookies or cakes, I often snack on grapes. Curbs my craving for sweets and hydrates. When frozen it curbs my craving for ice cream (which I don't crave so what am I talking about? You get used to not eating junk when you eat a pure diet).

Oranges are also another fruit that's great for breakfast. They not only fill me up, hydrate, and give me lots of energy, but the vitamin c is especially important for cell-renewal.

I looooove tomatoes. This is the vegetable I consume the most (fruit actually); I love to eat then Mexican-style, with sea salt and pepper. Sometimes I'll eat 4 in one sitting, love!

These I juice.

I notice a big difference in my skin if I stop eating blueberries, and another big difference when I start to again. Only need to eat a handful a day.

Great plain (no dressing, yuck) or juiced along with beets (with oranges and apples to mask the taste). Beta carotene  is so important for great skin.

This is where the magic happens: Ginger is absolutely wonderful for detoxing and circulation, two things that are essential for great skin. I either add a tiny amount to my juices or I add to lemon water (drink every morning on an empty stomach).

Lukewarm water in a mug (gently wakes up your stomach if it goes in the same temperature instead of shocking it)
Squeeze in the juice of 1/3 of a lemon
Cut and peel a few slices of ginger and add directly (I personally use a garlic press to extract the juice)
1 tsp honey or a dash stevia if you prefer it  sweetened

Loaded with vitamin K, Kale is great either added to juices or pan-roasted with olive oil, sea salt, and pepper. It's delicious!

Also loaded with vitamin c just like oranges. Lemons are an alkaline food which balances your PH.

Berries not only taste great, but they give flawless skin like it's nobodies business.

Make sure to drink a bit of water after eating fruits or lemons to get the fruit acids off your teeth.

Hope this is helpful!:)

xoxo,
